Cusseta Boulon was born on May 12, 1953, in Houston, Texas, to Thomas Henry Ball Jr. and Doris C. Ball. From an early age, Cusseta’s light shone brightly. At Pershing Middle School, she and her classmates formed a group called “Heat Exchange” and entered the school talent show, winning first place and outperforming Dennis Quaid, who placed fourth with a comedy act. Her love for music followed her to Lamar High School, where she sang with the Choralettes, an all-girls vocal group that traveled to Hawaii to compete. She continued her academic journey at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, where she became a proud member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority in 1975.
Professionally, Cusseta excelled in the oil and gas industry as a Senior Cost Specialist. With quiet determination, grace, and professionalism, she rose to the top of her field. However, among all her accomplishments, her most treasured role was that of a mother. Raising her children was her greatest joy and proudest achievement, her enduring legacy of love, strength, and devotion.
Cusseta is survived by her loving children, Kristen Doris Whipple and Paul Bailey Boulon, her adored grandsons, Ashdon Layne Whipple and Hunter Ryan Whipple, and her devoted brother, Thomas H. Ball III. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Henry Ball Jr. and Doris C. Ball. Cusseta was the heart and soul of her family, and her wisdom, warmth, and unwavering love left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be remembered always with deep love and affection.
In her personal life, Cusseta found joy in the outdoors and in the arts. She loved sailing, horseback riding, camping, and most of all, spending meaningful time with her family. Her beautiful singing voice was a gift she shared generously, and one of her greatest pleasures was watching Kristen and Paul perform in their dance competitions. Her life was a melody of grace, courage, and love, a song that will echo in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
