Charles Edward Everett

Charles E. Everett, Jr., (71) of Katy, Texas passed away on October 21, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born in Houston, Texas on November 26, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. Everett, Sr. and Verna Theiss Everett. Charles is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janeice Everett; son, Charles Everett, III (Trey) and wife, Crystal Everett; and son, Taylor Everett and wife, Dezirae Everett. He is also survived by three wonderful grandchildren who were the light of his life. Granddaughters, Madison Everett and Remi Everett and his grandson, Mason Everett.

Charles graduated from Sam Houston High School and the University of St. Thomas in Houston. He began his career in foundation repair shortly after graduation and eventually started his own company. He was proud that both of his sons joined the company and helped grow the business in recent years. Charles was the first president of the Houston Chapter of the Foundation Repair Association, NARI and GHBA.

Charles loved coaching his sons in baseball and was an avid sports memorabilia collector. He enjoyed taking the kids to baseball card shows and meeting numerous Hall of Fame players. In his later years, he was most at peace tending to his gardens.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 2:00 PM, at Katy Funeral Home located at 23350 Kingsland Boulevard, Katy, Texas 77494.

Donations may be made in honor of Charles to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society.
