Carol Annette Hicks

Carol Hicks, age 87, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on October 13, 1936, Carol lived a full and joyous life, deeply embracing the country lifestyle that brought her so much happiness.

A true lover of the simple pleasures in life, Carol found immense joy in the tranquility of rural living. She appreciated the beauty of nature, the calm of the countryside, and the simple, heartfelt connections with those around her. Her days were filled with warmth and contentment, enjoying the things that mattered most.

Carol had a particular fondness for all things shrimp, especially shrimp scampi, which she delighted in sharing with family and friends - - especially at Red Lobster or Captain Benny’s. She loved eating good food but enjoyed being with the people she loved even more.

She was a devoted mother to her three sons, Brian, Brad, and Phil, who were the light of her life. Carol's love for her sons was boundless, and she took great pride in their achievements and the men they had become. Her legacy of love, kindness, and joy will live on through them.

Carol's gentle spirit, love for country living, and appreciation for life's simple joys will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family who loved her dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 23 at 3:00pm at Katy Funeral Home.
