Carl Dean Nickell

Carl "Dean" Nickell passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023, in Katy, Texas. He was born on Tuesday, November 22, 1955, in Midland, Texas. Dean is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Catherine; daughter, Courtney Nickell and granddaughter, Isabella Palacios, of Katy, Texas; his beloved mother and father, Fronia and Donald Nickell; sister, Kelley Simpson; and his brother and his wife, Donny and Diana Nickell, and numerous loving relatives.

Dean worked as a civil designer at LJA Engineering for over 15 years and at Vogler & Spencer Engineering for the last 16 years. Dean grew up loving music, playing his drums, and riding his motorcycles. He was also a true Texans and Astros fan and loved his dogs and making people laugh. He was kind, generous, and a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
