Bobby Preston Bowden passed away peacefully on November 26, 2019 at the age of 65 due to complications from lung cancer. Bobby was born May 9, 1954 in Oakland, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hayward P. and Annell H. Bowden; brother, Michael E. Bowden; and 2 cherished friends Dr. Richard and Geri Nicholls. He is survived by his wife; Susan Bowden, Fulshear, Texas. Two children; daughter, Michelle (Jerry) Jackson, Ocean Springs, MS; son, Michael (Lethel) Bowden, Ocean Springs, MS. Siblings; brother, Douglas (Rhonda) Bowden, Jacksonville, FL; sister, Shirley (Barry) Daniel, Peachtree City, GA. Grandchildren; Julian Jackson, Reid Bowden, and Avery Higginbotham, Ocean Springs, MS. Niece; Lanier Daniel, Nashville, TN. Nephews; Trent Bowden, Carrollton, TX; Eric Bowden, Jacksonville, FL; Zachary Bowden, Elba,AL; Preston Bowden, Pensacola, FL.
Bobby was the 1st born to Hayward and Annell Bowden. Bobby’s childhood was in a military family which took him to many places in the United States and overseas. Bobby had beautiful eyes that shone with love. He was a caring and gentle man who took care of his family with a strong sense of discipline and tons of compassion. Bobby was very mechanically inclined and paid extreme attention to detail, which made him a great piping designer. Bobby’s vast knowledge and kind spirit made him a mentor to many. His work helped him travel parts of the world and the United States as a professional designer.
In his spare time, Bobby loved to work on his classic and modern day fast cars. He was very meticulous on any task he endeavored. He enjoyed fishing, working around the house, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed classic music from the 1960's - 1980's. He was a cat lover and is now reunited with many of his animals. He was truly a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed each and every day.
