Betty Jane Johnson Weidenfeld was born March 23, 1944 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Betty and Troy Johnson. They later moved to Corpus Christi where Betty Jane went to grade school and graduated in 1944 from Roy Miller High School.
Betty's family was an active, outdoor loving family. They were always traveling, playing sports, camping, going to the lake, rebuilding the ‘57 chevy , skateboarding, surfing or repairing the motor-cross bike. She was there biggest fan and greatest supporter. Bj treasured her time with her sons but she adored her three grandchildren, Trevor (24)Ty (20)and Katarina(2). She loved going to Trevor and Ty’s events and watching them graduate. They traveled and shared a special trip to Disney world. She was overjoyed to learn she was getting a granddaughter when Katarina was born 2 years ago. She has enjoyed watching Katarina crawl, talk, walk and play. They enjoy singing songs together.
BJ worked in the oil and Gas industry for many years. This is where she met and fell in love with David. She held a door open for him and he said her smile lit up the room. He returned with a package of her favorite candy, peanut M&M’s. BJ enjoyed gardening, fashion and design. She was always cutting edge. Her second career was in residential home planning, and community development where her passion for design & landscaping served her well. She was creative and loved gardening. David was always by her side planting anything she wanted. Her back yard is beautifully landscaped with magnolia trees and cobalt blue water fountains. She loved getting her hands dirty and dreaming of new ways to beautify our lives.
Above all, Betty Jane Weidenfeld was an adored and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
