Anna Manzano Hill

1963 - 2017

passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017, peacefully in her home, in Houston, Texas. She was 53 years old. Anna was born in Brownsville, Texas, on November 25, 1963, to her late parents, Edward and Omelia Manzano. She spent her adolescence in the valley and graduated from Pace High School. After graduating, she moved to Houston and met the love of her life, John M. Hill. They married February 11, 1984. Anna found her calling as a devoted wife and mother to her three daughters. She dedicated her life to her family and provided loving support and guidance to all she came to know. Anna loved cooking, reading and gardening. She enjoyed spending time as Home Room Mom and Girl Scout Troop Leader with her daughters. Anna was active in her church and church groups as a devout Catholic. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Manzano, Jr. and Omelia Manzano and her husband, John M. Hill. Anna is survived by her sisters, Cynthia Vessier and Helen Deavenport; brother, Edward Manzano III; daughters: Helen Milner and husband, Justin Milner, Jacqueline Hill and Jennifer Hill; granddaughters, Riley Zavesky and Avery Milner; family friends, Tiffany Thorson and Harley Thorson; as well as nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests Friday, March 24, 2017, from 5:00-8:00PM, at Katy Funeral Home. The Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 7:00PM. The Funeral Mass will be Monday, March 27, 2017, 11:00AM, at St. Edith Stein Catholic Church, 3311 N. Fry Road, Katy, TX 77449. The Rite of Committal will follow in Houston VA National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. The Gate Time is scheduled for 2:00PM.
