Andrew, 
This is Dad. I just wanted to thank you for always caring for me.
I remember how you would come down the stairs and you would see me sitting on the couch and you would always ask if I needed something.  This is the kind of son any father would dream for. 
You will always be missed by me and mom and Alex, Steve G, and Shelly. There is one man I love more than any other; he is my son. While a little piece of my heart went to heaven along with you, I smile through the tears and heartache. You, my sweet son, brought me so much happiness in your short time here.

When I first met Andrew I wasn't sure what to expect. He was a giant among tiny people, besides Austin, but a giant nonetheless. He had a tough guy persona he would put on from time to time and I don't think he was crazy about my hugs when we met up.(Im a hugger). However the more I randomly hungout with Andrew the more I came to realize he's a truly genuine, kindhearted, respectful, caring, empathetic, beer guzzling, looking for a good time, de escalating problems kind of guy. He takes care of his friends, has absolute respect for anyone and everyone, genuinely enjoys getting to know people and hearing theie stories. Whether your an ol timer,veteran, currently serving or just a regular guy like me, Andrew always goes out of his way to hear you out and your stories. I really appreciated seeing that. His laughter as well. Geez that thing was contagious. Literally never heard the joke or w.e he was laughing at, but I would start laughing just as hard as if I had actually heard the joke. Andrew is a special guy, friend,son, brother and nephew that will be excruciatingly missed. But he's left such impactful memories with us all that luckily we can still visit him in our memories with him. Love ya Andrew and sending big bear hugs your way man.

It is difficult to name just one memory since there are so many. I met Andrew years ago playing video games (smite), and I had no idea he would become my best friend. I have never laughed so much and so constantly with someone than I did with Andrew. Many nights my wife told me I needed to be quite to which I would reply, “that’s impossible, I am playing with Andrew!” Any video game we bought the other would have to buy it too so we could play together. Every time I saw Andrew come online, I was pumped because I knew we were gonna have a blast. I was so happy when he said he was coming to visit me in Maine and it was such a fun time having my best friend finally in person—we laughed just as much. I just wish I got to come down to Texas and see him, his brother, and all his friends. I am not sure if video games will ever be the same, but I know he would want me to keep playing and laughing. -Your best buddy, Wingcup

Thank you Steve, Irma and Alex for sharing Andrew with us for 27 years.  Andrew you truly were one of a kind. You were such a gentle soul. You loved each of us and it always showed.  So many memories we had, from the get togethers to the overnight stays. Andrew you will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace Mijo

Andrew my son. A kind heart and beautiful soul. We spent your last 2 weeks together and know from my heart how hard you fought, a Rodriguez warrior. Mom and I and big brother Alex will always be thinking of you son, rest easy until we meet again.

When my son was little, he loved going to cousin Andrew’s house. He knew the two of them would play video games together. They would be in Andrew’s room for hours! Charlie used to tease Andrew about how much he loved to play video games. He would check to see if Andrew had blisters on his hands from playing so much. I will always remember watching Andrew walk through Momo’s front door thinking, dang, he is tall! Is he ever going to stop growing? Andrew was kind and sweet, and we are going to miss him dearly. It breaks my heart that he is no longer with us, but I know he is in a much better place than us. We love you, Andrew! One day, we all will see you again. 

I met Andrew online back in 2014. He was a wonderful friend that stuck with me and gave many days of laughs and fun. I never got to meet him in person but after years of sharing my enjoyment of video games with him I can say that it will never be the same without him. He was a great friend and I will never be able to forget him. It was truly a blessing that he was apart of my life and all my love goes out to his family. 

Steve & I took Alex, Andrew & my son Austin hunting in south Texas many years ago. We all piled into my truck & took off for a 3 day adventure & i will never forget the excited look on all their faces wondering what their dad's had planned for them Lol. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed but not forgotten.

Several Rodriguez family members work in healthcare. Including myself and Alex and Andrew. I am a Medical Assistant at a clinic in Wharton. I knew that Andrew's Memeeha Residents were patient's of the clinic that I started working at last year. I hoped that one day Alex or Andrew would accompany a resident to an office visit and I would get to see them and say hi. I had told this to all of my new coworkers. When I would check the daily schedule and I would see that a Memeeha resident was coming in... I would say " I hope my "little cousins" come in for that office visit." I say "little cousins" because I am older.  And last year it finally happened. Andrew came in to assist a resident during their office visit. I was able to get a big hug from Andrew and visit with him. When he left, I told my coworkers that he was my "little cousin" that worked for Memeeha. And they all looked at me with confusion on their faces. I am the tallest person in that clinic at 5"10 1/2 and my "little cousin" Andrew towered over me at 6"4. I have never thought of Andrew as a grown man. I have always referred to him as my  "little cousin". I still see him as a sweet baby boy...with a big smile and an even bigger heart. 

We went fishing in a pond and Andrew fell in. He was only 3 years old and I rescued him by grabbing him by his diaper to pull him out of the pond. He never cried cause I told him I would let him play with the worms and could eat one if he liked. My son was brave and grew up strong, kind hearted, respectful and loyal to our family.  Andrew will always have a permanent place in my heart forever!
