Yvonne Merrill Walker

Yvonne was born January 26, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan. She spent most of her life living in the Kansas City area. She first worked for the telephone company and then for GM - Chevrolet Division in Lenexa. She retired from there in 1987 after 30 years. She was a member of First Church of Nazarene for many years.

She raised two children, Richard M. Haynes (Linda), of Basehor, KS and Joyce L. Rost - Deceased (Chris), of Vandalia, MO. She leaves two grandsons: Christian Rost (Amy), Vandalia, MO - their daughters; Avery Rost, K.C., MO and Sophia Rost, Kirksville, MO; and Brett Haynes (Rose), Colorado Springs, CO - their children: Liam Haynes (Katelyn), Las Vegas, NV - their children: Navia, Naomi and Nyla, Connor Haynes, Columbus OH., Kaitlynn Thomason (Anthony), - their daughter, Scarlett, Colorado Springs, CO, Brandon VonRader (Madelyn), Albuquerque, NM & Jessica Vidal, Colorado Springs, CO.

The family would like to thank Homestead of Leavenworth and Crossroads Hospice for their loving care for the last four years. They took great care of Yvonne.
