Yvonne Adell Joseph

Yvonne Adell Joseph was born September 30th, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri to Lester and Lola. She was a devout Christian and a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Lee’s Summit (where she taught Sunday school when her children were young) until she decided to move to California in 1996. Upon relocating, she became a member of SeaCoast Grace Church of Cypress, California. She was an active member and had many friends in the Open Bible Class. She shared life memories and lessons with all who would listen. She knew telling her story would help someone in need of establishing a personal relationship with God. That was her goal. She always thought of and took care of others before herself. Her life was a true testament to what it means to live by the two Greatest Commandments, and her favorites, (Mathew 22:37 and 39); “Love the Lord your God with all your Heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind and Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love is what she believed in and love is what she gave unconditionally.

Yvonne was very active and wholeheartedly involved in the upbringing of each of her grand-daughters Lindsey and Elisabeth. They will carry the life’s lessons learned and memories they’ve made together with them forever. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Joseph; son, David Joseph; grand-daughter, Elisha Joseph; and brother, Bernie DeHues.

Yvonne leaves to cherish her fond memories her sister, Mary Lee Cage (Carl); daughter, Donita Joseph-Bayardo (Fernando); grand-daughters, Elisabeth Bayardo (Andrew Nicastro) and Lindsey Hammer (David), and three great-grandchildren: Lilly, Blake, and Gavin.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 2, 2021. Floral Hills Memorial Gardens East, 25203 E US Highway 50, Lee’s Summit, MO 64086.
