William “Bill” E. Peek, age 74 years, passed away March 17, 2018, at home in Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation to be held 6-8PM on Wednesday, March 21, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City MO. Graveside service at 2PM on Friday, March 23, at Brooking Cemetery, 10004 E 53rd St, Raytown MO.
Bill was born July 16, 1943, in Marcelene, Missouri, home of the famous Walt Disney. Bill proudly served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963.
Bill was a hard-working, blue-collar worker the majority of his life who helped build most of the bridges in Kansas City, Kansas, and Missouri. He helped with the Truman Sports Complex and the Hyatt Regency Crown Center foundations. He and his wife, Mary Peek (deceased), were at the Regency when it collapsed, and he helped rescue the people who were trapped inside. He was loved by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed by all.
Bill was preceded by his father Ernest Peek; mother Flossie Haggerty; his stepmother Katherine Peek; brothers Roy Lee Peek, George Henry Burriss, David Peek, Howard Burriss, Keith Boris; sister Joyce Ann Burris; his wife Mary F. Peek; and his daughter Mary K. Peek.
He is survived by his daughters Denell Rawlins, Christie Peek, Shelly Peek, Destiney Wood, Tami Pimental; his sons William Peek, James Pimental, Ron Pimental, David Pimental, Scott Pimental Peek, Richard Pimental Peek, James Pimental Peek; his sisters Joyce Woodis, Georgia Beckhusen, Dianna Peek, Kathy Peek; brothers Larry Peek, Wayne Peek, Denzel Burriss, Bobby Jo Peek; grandchildren Brandon Stroble, Lisa Moore, Trisa Stull, Richard Stroble, Alicia Stull, Chance Rawlins, Jessica Edwards, Crystal Lawerance, Dianna Pimental, David Pimental Jr., Jordan Pimental, Ron Pimental Jr., Anna, Louis, Mary, Timmy, Luke, Heather Pimental, Nikki Pimental, Tara Pimental, Selena Pimental, Ashley Prettyman, Justin Wood Andrea Powell, Sierra Powell; and a multitude of great grandchildren.
