William J. Pachter, (Bill) born on February 11, 1942, at Menorah Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather. Bill was an accomplished real estate developer, and a cherished member of the Kansas City and Palm Springs communities.
Bill graduated from Southwest High School in Kansas City and University of Missouri Kansas City. His professional journey led him to become the president of Pachter & Tilzer Realty Company, where he made significant contributions to the real estate landscape in the region.
Throughout his life, Bill was actively involved in various organizations, including the Kansas City Board of Trade, the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, and the National Association of Stock Dealers. He was a dedicated member of the Johnson County Board of Realtors and contributed to the Board of Trustees at Menorah Hospital. His commitment to community service also extended to SafeHome and his previous memberships at Oakwood Country Club and B’nai Jehudah Temple.
In his personal life, Bill was known for his love of walking, music, and reading, not to mention games of Scrabble, Monopoly, Bridge, Backgammon and Gin. He found joy and solace in literature and art, often sharing his insights and humor with friends and family.
Bill leaves behind his loving wife, Marsha Pachter, Leawood, KS, who will forever cherish their 26-years together. He leaves behind his brother Robert Pachter (Marlene), Scottsdale; his daughters Jamie Crosbie, Kansas City; Cori Kurtz, Sarasota; his daughter Missy Love (Bill), Leawood; and son Phillip Wang, Leawood; his grandkids, Campbell Crosbie, Caden Crosbie, D.J. Kurtz (Darby), Taylor Berry (Robert); Skylei Kurtz, Sarah Smart (Joe Cutcher), David Smart (Jacquelyn), Kelly Love (Thomas Fiegener), and seven great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Eileen and Julius Pachter and his former wife Barbara Pachter. Bill will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the lasting impact he made on those around him. His memorable handshake and Honorable manner will be remembered throughout the world.
