William Raymond Moore

William Raymond Moore, 95, joined his wife on November 27, 2016. Born, Rural Calhoun, Henry County, MO. Preceded in death by his wife, Marceline (Morris) Moore Son: Jack R. Moore, father, W.W. Moore, mother, Cassie Letetia (Long) Moore and brother, Earl Moore. Ray served 42 months in WWII as Lt. J.G United Coast Guard Reserves Maritime Service. Later he was assigned to Merchant ship as ship purser. He worked for B.F. Goodrich and Armstrong Tires and retired from Shore Tire Company after a 36 year career in the industry. Ray married Marceline (Morris) Moore on November 27, 1943. Together they had 3 children, Judy K. Derks, husband Gary of Lee’s Summit, MO, Jack R. Moore, Donna L. Shackelford and husband Larry of Kansas City, MO. He was a very proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren; Lori Wyrick and husband Rick, their children, Brody and Andrew, James Scott Watson and Wife Jennifer, their children, Jordon and Katlyn, Shad Watson and wife Yuan, their children, Kael and Serena, Jaclyn Colburn and husband Steven, their children, Rhilyn and Ryder, Jaime Echelkraut and husband Blake, their children, Keira, Brock and Lily, Jon Moore and wife Laura, their children, Jasmine and Dylan, Jason Moore and wife Ginny, their children, Paige and Mia, Richard Shackelford and wife Mandy, their children, Corinne, Aubrey and Kinsley, David Shackelford, their children, Makenna and Logan,Steven Shackelford and wife Kristen, their children, Everett and Nolan. Ray passed away on the anniversary date of his marriage to Marceline. They are now together once again. Ray was a devoted member of the Free Will Baptist Church, Raytown, MO for several years. A celebration on of life will be Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 5-7 pm, service starting at 7 pm, at Floral Hills Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016.
