William Curtis Mills, 39, affectionately known as “Lil Bill” was born December 20, 1984, to Mary and William E. Mills, at University Hospital, KCMO. He grew up in the Kansas City and Grandview, Missouri area most of his life. He attended the Hickman Mills School District. He went on to attend Heartland High School in Belton, Missouri, graduating in 2003. He attended Vatterott College, earning a Pharmacy Technician degree.
Bill was employed for a time in the customer service department at Caremark (CVS). He was a seasonal employee for about five years at the IRS. He was also employed by PAE, working with the I.N.S. until he was unable to continue due to health complications in 2020.
Bill accepted Christ at an early age. He made his decision to be baptized on October 11, 1998, by Pastor Jesse Frazier and became a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church.
Bill will be remembered for his caring and loving personality. He was a confidant for many and would give advice whether you wanted it or not. Bill loved children and loved to shower them with gifts. His nieces and nephews held a very special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larse, maternal and paternal grandparents, several cousins, maternal uncle, and a generation of great aunts and uncles. He leaves his father and mother, William and Mary Mills, sister Jamesetta Mills, aunts, Cathy Williams, Vichelle Clayton, Tracy Randolph, Ramona Randolph, Ella Booker, Christina Harcharik, Roberta Williams, Mattie Bailey, Ernestine Wynn, Darlene Butler, and Lori Clark; uncles Rob Williams (Micki), Larry Williams Jr., Michael Butler, Carlos Shinkle, Leon Butler; great aunts Margo Watson and Carol Mills; great uncle Herbert Mills; paternal grandfather Larry Williams; a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
