graduated from Rockhurst College, served in the US Army Intelligence and worked for Zephyr Products, St. Elizabeth Credit Union and Catholic Family Credit Union. We know many received his financial
lectures regarding the Rule of 72. Bill enjoyed Irish music, loved to dance, was a lifelong sports fan and
the family historian. He brought together hundreds of family members and coordinated the family
reunions for decades.
He leaves his bride of 60 years, Dorothy, and his children, Michael (Beth) McAuliffe of Baytown, TX,
Theresa (John) Smith of Raytown, MO, James McAuliffe of Kansas City, Janet Corcoran of Kansas City and Jennifer Bain of Redding, CT. He loved and enjoyed his grandkids, great grandkids and great, great,
grandson. He is survived by his sister-in-law Mildred (Rawlings) McAuliffe, and many cousins, nieces
and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Bridget (Broderick) McAuliffe, brothers Lawrence
McAuliffe, Bishop Michael McAuliffe, Thomas McAuliffe, John McAuliffe, Joseph and Imogene (Hagelin) McAuliffe, and son-in-law Dennis Corcoran.
He was a man of great goodness, well-fortified by his Catholic Faith. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec 9th at St Elizabeth Church, 2 E. 75th St. Kansas City, MO.
