William Udeal Jackson, born February 22, 1928 in Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 4th 2018 at the age of 90. He grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and was a graduate of Normandy High School in Normandy, Missouri. Bill received a degree in Business and Biology from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, class of 1950. Bill was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and was always the life of the party! He served in the Korean War (1950-1952) as an Airman First Class where he was stationed at George Write AFB in Spokane Washington.
Bill was loved and adored by his family and many friends and colleagues. He was known to be a hardworking man of integrity with a gift of putting others at ease with his warm smile, firm handshake and engaging conversation. Bill worked in the Water Services Division of Nalco, Drew, Olin and Ashland Chemical companies where he rose to international sales manager finishing out his career by training and sharing with others the knowledge he had gained over 40+ years in the industry.
Bill enjoyed many years of boating on the Mississippi and Lake of the Ozarks, playing tennis, entertaining friends and family, dancing, watching and reading westerns, and driving his various red cars with his beloved “fur friends” by his side! He is preceded in death by his father, Udeal Byron Jackson and mother Beulah Wilson Jackson, and first wife Marie Voss Jackson. He is survived by wife Betty Ann Jackson of 45 years and daughters Donna Jackson Middendorf (Bob), Lorre Jackson Faszholz (Kurt), Laurie Jackson Walter (Bill), son Jeffery Jackson, sister-is-law Helen Dye, and nephew Michael Dye. Bill had 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
