Bill was born on September 13, 1931 in Dallas, Missouri to William Lee and Elsie M. Crotty. He graduated from Ruskin High School in 1949. He attended Finlay Engineering College. Bill was a Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 59 for 18 years as well as an Assistant District Commissioner. He was a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say since 1963.
Bill was with the Pipefitter Local 533 since 1967. He worked for Midwest Mechanical constructions for 20 years as a welder. He was a Mason for 65 years with the Grandview Lodge 618. He was an Ararat Shriner since 1978 and served as provost Captain. He was a licensed taxidermist in Missouri for 40 years.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of almost 68 years, Patricia and his 3 children, Steven (Patty) Crotty, Karen (Jim) Robbins and Jeffrey (Becky) Crotty. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.
A visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00pm on Monday, February 18th at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home at 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. A Committal Service and burial will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery,
