Wendell H. Bruce

Wendell H. Bruce, 95 passed away, April 24, 2016. Wendell was born April 10, 1921 in Ft. Scott, Kansas. He served in the United States Army from 1942-1946. He was a winch operator during WWII and received a Bronze Star Medal. Wendell married Beatrice Bruce, she preceded him in death in 2012. He worked and retired from General Heating and Cooling Company as a manager. Wendall was a Kansas City Royals fan and he enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Survivors include two sons, Harvey Bruce and Michael Bruce and daughter-in-law, Tina Bruce; four grandchildren, Ojia Bruce, Treva Bruce, Aaron Bruce and Andrew Bruce and seven great grandchildren, Jasmine Bruce, Salome Bruce, Karina Bruce, Olivia Goodwin, Aaron Goodwin, Arissa Goodwin and Omarria Bruce. Visitation will be Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 1 pm until service time at 2 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Burial will follow. Condolences may be left at www.floralhillsfuneralhome.com.
