Wayne A. Meirath, 79, of Raytown, MO passed away at his home on Feb 20, 2012. Visitation will be Fri, Feb 24th from 6-8pm at McGilley & Sheil Chapel with Prayer Service at 7pm. Mass of Christian burial 10am on Sat at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church (9020 E. 51st Terr. KCMO) burial following at Brooking Cemetery.
Wayne was born on April 13, 1932 to Otto & Cora (Megli) Meirath in Plymouth, NE. On June 2, 1956 he married Margaret Huff in Fairbury, NE. He is preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, Judith Foy & a grandson, Jeremy Meirath. He is survived by his two daughters, Geralyn Cerveny (Ken) of KCMO & Beth Meirath of St. Louis, MO; two sons, Mark (Becky) of Excelsior Springs, MO & Matt (Traci) of KCMO; a sister & a brother; grandchildren, Kristina Young (Dennis), Patricia Huffman (Daniel), Adam Cerveny (Kendra), Kevin Cerveny, Nicole Novotny (Chad), Allie, Amanda, Shane & Brianna Meirath & great grandchildren, Wyatt, Savannah & Carter.
