Walt was the owner of D&H Corvette, which was one of the first corvette body shops in the Kansas City area.
He built four corvettes in his lifetime. The car he was most known for was a replica of a 1963 Grand Sport.
He was still working on cars up until 81 years of age. He loved his work, his family, and all of his friends that would stop by to visit over the years.
Walt is survived by his wife Barbara Hutchison and two sons, Joe and Jeff Hutchison. Also, his two granddaughters, Haley and Madison Hutchison and a great-grandson Colton.
A visitation for Walter will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM and will be followed by a graveside committal at Brooking Cemetery, 10004 E 53rd St, Raytown, MO 64133.
