Virginia Ruth (King) "Jenny" Kuzemka

Virginia Ruth Kuzemka, affectionately known as "Jenny", age 92, of Kansas City, MO, passed away January 26, 2020, at St. Joseph Medical Center. Jenny was born March 8, 1927, in Pottsville, AR to Albert and Bertha (Baker) King. She was preceded in death by her parents, 8 siblings and husband of 63 years, John.

Jenny was one of 11 children and grew up in Roswell, NM where she met her husband who was stationed at Roswell Air Station. Through his service, they moved to various states before settling in Kansas City, MO in 1969. She then worked at Jess & Jim's Steakhouse for 30+ years, until she retired. Jenny and John then moved back to Roswell, NM to care for her mother in 1992. She returned to Kansas City after the death of her husband in 2011. She was a longtime member of Martin City Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, embroidering, doing crossword puzzles, gardening and baking. All that knew her remembers her generosity, sense of humor, and kindness. She was a very special lady to all.

Jenny is survived by her son, John (Linda), of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Judy (Mike) Woods of Ft. Worth, TX; 6 grandchildren: Tricia (Paul) Mendez of Ft. Worth, TX, Amy (Dyron), Jeffrey (Marie), Craig, Melanie and Joshua (Crystal), all from KCMO; 11 great grandchildren: Sydney, Devion, Isyss, Lily, Anastasia, Adia, Riley, Abby, Isabella, Hazel and Abiageal; brother, Albert Jr. of New Mexico; sister Edith of South Carolina and many other extended family members all over the country.

Services will be at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64133. Visitation, Saturday, February 1st, 9:00 AM, Funeral Service 10:00 AM, Interment to follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
