Tyler was born on June 3, 1994 in Shawnee Mission, Kansas to David Thorp and Karen Duncan-Thorp. Tyler graduated from Truman High School in Independence, Missouri in 2012. He went on to join the IBEW Local Union 124, becoming a Journeyman Electrician in 2019, working throughout Kansas City, Missouri. His most recent accomplishment was becoming a General Foreman at the Ford Plant.
Tyler followed in his father and grandfather's footsteps, becoming an honored Eagle Scout in July 2011. His passions revolved around art, skateboarding, collecting knives and his beloved animals.
Tyler was preceded in death by his father David Thorp, grandparents and great grandparents. Tyler is survived by his mother, Karen Duncan (Dean), sister, Dalene Reed, nephew Collin Reed, soul mate, Amber Young, many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
Tyler will always be remembered as a fun loving, stubborn asshole who loved his family, friends and pets with all his heart and soul.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
