Timothy Lee Grisham, age 71, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on September 22, 2023. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Grisham; his sister, Teri Grisham; his daughter, Lori Qualls (Matt Hunter); his son, Brent Grisham (Allison Grisham); his grandchildren: Elizabeth Lash (Dylan Lash), Austin Foster, Nicolette Qualls, Landon Qualls, and Emerie Qualls; his great-granddaughter, Raelynne Lash, and his beloved dog Maximus “Max”. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Lee Grisham.
He is now rejoicing and celebrating with his dad and pups in Heaven.
Tim loyally and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and continued to serve his country by working for the U.S. Government until his retirement. He enjoyed playing and watching sports, doing puzzles, reading/studying to personally develop himself, he was a dreamer, working towards his goals daily. He was always looking for new business ideas and opportunities to further better his family. He loved spending his days with Max. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He attended his grandchildren's sporting and school activities with a loud Marine “OORAH” to cheer them on. Everyone who knew him knew that cheer came from him. Even though he didn’t have a church he called home he was a strong believer in God. He read and studied his bible daily to grow closer to God and have a better understanding of the word.
Tim was a private person; yet he knew no stranger. He loved to engage with people and have meaningful conversations. Those who knew him well knew him as knowledgeable and a researcher of facts. He always wanted the very best for his children and would offer life advice. After sharing his advice he would tell us “I probably just wasted my breath” but on our end, we heard him and held onto his advice for when it was most needed. In the end it was truly appreciated. He was a jokester and the life of the party. He loved making others laugh by telling stories and jokes or just horsing around. He spent his weekends with his mom and sister, Teri, putting together puzzles and watching the ballgame of the day. He often checked in with his friends to see how they were and to catch up. He was a great son, brother, dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Many have shared what a great friend he was as well. He will remain in our hearts and will be deeply missed.
He was an extreme dog lover. Donations can be sent to the dog rescue center of your choice in his memory.
