Thomas Altman Pollock, 73, of Lenexa, Kansas, died February 20, 2013 surrounded by his loving family at his home. Visitation will be 10:00–11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 1, at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Private burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Tom was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to Anna Altman Pollock and Thomas L. Pollock. He attended De LaSalle Military Academy and, after graduation, entered the U.S. Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Florence Dryden.
He married Bonnie Goode on November 22, 1958. He is survived by his wife of 54 years and their two sons, Darren, Devin (Teresa), and two grandchildren, Allison and Jack; nephew, Les Dryden; and the family dog April, Dad’s girl.
He believed that if you do something, you do it right the first time. He loved his family unconditionally. He fought a courageous battle against ALS for six years. Tom retired from Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company after 33 years of service and was Director of Transportation.
