She was diagnosed with lymphoma in July 2024, and passed from complications following a lung infection on September 25, 2024, aged 64, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Theresa will be remembered by colleagues, students, friends, and family for her love of nursing, teaching, cooking, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her sister and nephew, Joanne and Julian. She is survived by her husband, Ray Chang; sons, Alex (Sharien) and Derrick (Kali) Chang; and her grandchild to be born in January 2025.
A Celebration of Life is to be held at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home on October 5, 2024. Visitation will be held from 2-4pm, with a service to follow at 4pm.
