Susan Jannett Mains

Susan J. Mains, age 66, loving mother, dedicated grandmother and adoring wife to husband Dean Mains, passed away in the late hours of the 6th of July, 2022 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Susan was born in 1956 in Raytown, MO and grew up surrounded by her family. Susan always gave her time to others, and she incorporated that to everyone she met. Susan spent many years of her life dedicated to her job as a postmaster as well as her customers. Susan always had a knack for making people laugh.

Susan dedicated many years to her loving Husband who preceded her in death in 2012.

Susan and Dean met and fell in love instantly. Susan and Dean moved to Pomme De Terre, MO after her retirement where they found a love for fishing, swimming and living the good old Lake Life.

After Dean's death, Susan found a new love in gardening; you could always find her with a smile on her face in her yard or smelling her flowers.

Susan will be greatly missed by her friends and family especially her son: Jr, who adored her with all his heart.

We know that we can’t have you but we’re happy knowing that the angels and Dean have finally got you back. Goodbye to a wonderful woman.

A visitation for Susan will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A graveside service will occur Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133.
