Susan Frances Houser

Susan F. Houser, 75, graduated to heaven on October 25, 2017 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Susan was preceded in death by her parents Fred & “Marie” Pearson. She is survived by her husband, Gary Houser of 51 yrs., brother Frederick Pearson, daughter and son in law LeeAnna and Steven Ross along with 2 grandchildren Elijah and Kalina Ross. She worked in the Federal Building for the state of Missouri as a stenographer followed by Bendix Corp. until Multiple Sclerosis made working difficult. She met Gary through Kansas City Youth for Christ Friday night meetings and married in 1966. Susan was actively involved in church alongside her husband. Those churches include: Kansas City Baptist Temple, Lee’s Summit Baptist Temple, Southview Baptist Church and Country Meadows Baptist Church. In the year 2000 she moved into Delmar Gardens of Lenexa community and continued having a lasting impact upon staff and residents. While living with MS 50 years, Susan will be remembered by friends and family for her perseverance and prayer life. Never once did she complain to others about the disease but instead lived by example how to make the best of life.
