He was preceded in death by his parents, KCFD Captain Gerald C. Halloran (1988) and Leota F. Halloran (2016); his brother, Patrick J. Halloran (2025); and his son, Mitch Halloran (1983).
Steve is survived by his daughters, Shanna Halloran and Brett Jansen (Travis); grandchildren Breanna, Gabriel, and Jacklin Hays, and Declan Jansen; sister Cindy Caffrey (Dan) and her children, Julie and John; nephew James Halloran (Kim) and their children Lillian and Brennen; and niece Anne Ramirez (Tony) and their children Josh and TJ Ramirez.
Steve was rarely seen without his loyal border collie, Link. The two were inseparable—neighbors often spotted them playing frisbee around the block. A mechanical engineer by trade, Steve loved the water and found peace on the lake, surrounded by friends, family, and good music.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
