Steve G. Miller, 72, of Leawood, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 26, 11:00 a.m., in the main sanctuary of The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe, Leawood, KS. Visitation will be held Friday, February 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in the main sanctuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Wayside Waifs, P.O. Box 9791, Kansas City, MO, 64134, Operation Breakthrough, or The American Cancer Society Relay For Life , 825 NE 79th Terrace, Kansas City, MO, 64118. Steve was born November 16, 1938, in Westcliffe, Colorado. He was employed by Key Bank. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, collecting antiques and working on his antique truck, spending time outdoors and watching K-State basketball and football. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife at their lake home. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Glenn R. Miller and his sister, Norma Jean Williams. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Beverly Miller; children, Jeff Miller, Scott Miller, Shelly Dorrel (Alan), Rebecca Miller (Robert), Brandon Winter (Crystal); six grandchildren, Ellen and Emma Miller, Jessica and Taylor Dorrel, MacKenzie Miller, Dylan Winter; his mother, Gladys Miller; two siblings, Glenda Logan (Jim), Clell Miller (Kayleen); mother-in-law, Virginia Boxberger; his favorite pets, Spanky, Sadie and Petey.
