Shirley Jean Jarvis was born in Harrisonville, Missouri on December 11, 1938 to Jim and Nellie Claunch. Shirley grew up with her brothers and sister; Russell, Jim, Truman, and Doris Claunch. She is the last survivor of her family.
Shirley accepted Christ at a young age and was a proud member of Southview Baptist Church.
Shirley and Sid were married for 52 beautiful years. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. The roles she had in life were very enjoyable and filled with much excitement. Shirley and Sid’s love was pure. They touched everyone they came into contact with. Family was the number priority. Their love was shown through all the rose bushes that Shirley planted and grew. From pink to red to yellow, she had them. If you asked, she would give you the hardest rose she worked on. Away from the roses she loved to read. She has read many books and could tell you about each one. A true all around lady.
She graduated from Harrisonville High School in 1956. She enjoyed learning all that she could.
After 50 years of employment with Farmer’s Insurance Company, she retired
She is survived and missed by her son, Mike; grandson, Jeff (Heather); many other family and friends. Her memories will be cherished by all who knew her.
