Shelly Lynn Kelly

Shelly was born September 12, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a kind, funny, smart and generous soul. She retired from Internal Revenue Service after thirty years of dedicated service. Shelly loved her family and friends. She was so generous that she adopted other families at Christmas to ensure they did not go without. Chief game Sundays were always a party in the Kelly household.

Shelly was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Kelly, mother Janet O. Figgins, father James Earl Figgins, mother-in-law Beulah Kelly and both sets of grandparents.

She is survived by her sister Teresa (Paul) Olsen, brother Kenneth Figgins, daughter Sarah Marie Kelly, sons Jeremy Figgins, Kevin Kelly and Chris Kelly. Her brother-in-law Steve Hentzen, her sister-in-law Sandra Fox, grandchildren, niece, nephews and their wives. All loved her very much.

A visitation for Shelly will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home (7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133). The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM followed by a graveside service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens (Same Address).
