Sheila was born January 25, 1957 in Tachekawa, Japan . Sheila graduated from Northeast High School in 1975, she always worked 2 jobs mostly in security and retail. Her favorite song was "We are Family" and she loved to watch cowboy shows on INSP. One of her favorite things to do was go to thrift stores and she stayed for hours. She could always find the best deals!!!!! She did love going to Aunt Debbie's and visiting and always had BBQ with her niece Brittney. They loved to go to concerts when they were growing up. Every month Foreigner, Bob Seger Band, and Chicago. Sheila loved going out to the Marry Go Round Bar in Kansas City and going ice skating at the bowling alley across the street and stayed until it closed at 3:00am. Sheila's passion was security and she received several awards from the job.
Sheila's parents met in the Air Force were they were both Communication Specialists. Shelia was born in Tachekawa, Japan and her sisters were born in Omaha, Nebraska. They moved every 3 years living in the North and South Carolina, Chicago, Illinois, France and then Anchorage, Alaska. They moved from Anchorage to Kansas City, Missouri when she was in the 6th grade.
Shelia truly adored her grandbaby Anniston and would video chat her on the phone quite often and enjoyed getting pictures sent from her daughter. When Sheila got really sick with Stage 4 COPD it totally changed her life, going to the ER constantly and wishing she could be at her sisters house having fun watching movies but it got to where the cold weather kept her in and then she went on hospice.
Sheila did love Alaska were they ice skated before and after school as a child, riding snow mobiles and of course sledding and she loved to fish most of all. That was her happy place going fishing and the peace and quiet. She even had a special spot near her apartment in Kansas City.
Sheila leaves behind her sister, Debbie L. Stacy, daughter Christine D. Stephens, son Robert Barrentine, niece Brittney L. Clark, Nicole D. Hamlin, Melissa D. Barker, Aleesha Perkins and nephew Richard Perkins, James Register and Robbie Register.
