Sharon June (Lehmer) Taylor, 70, died in the presence of her loving family on Dec. 14, 2010, in her home. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, KCMO. Visitation will be 5:30-7 p.m. prior to services. Sharon was a lifetime resident of the KC area, graduating from Southeast High School in 1958 and marrying Edward Roland Taylor in 1961. A devoted wife and mother, raising her children and younger siblings, she had an amazing talent for interior design which became her career. Beginning with Shawnee Color Center, her passion led to opening her own business: Designs by Sharon. As well, she was the interior designer for Lakey Builders in North KC. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Alfred Lehmer and Marjorie (Balding) Smith, her children, Baby Taylor, Christopher Owen Taylor, Christine Allison Taylor, Stephen Holmes Taylor and sister, Carolyn Kay Neal. Surviving family members include husband, Edward Roland Taylor; son, Scott Edward Taylor and his wife Jessica; brothers, Gregory Alfred Lehmer and his wife Tricia, Gary Robert Lehmer and his wife Debbie; grandchildren, Kyle and Cassidy; aunt, Izetta Pearl Balding, and nieces and nephews.
