
Sharon M. (Wholey) Niehaus, 85, passed away on May 9, 2015. A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15 at Redemptorist Fathers-Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3333 Broadway, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be at the church from 12:00 p.m. to time of service, and a rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to NorthCare Hospice House, 2800 Clay Edwards Drive, North Kansas City, MO 64116.
Sharon was born on May 7, 1940 in Kansas City Missouri to Andrew J. and Wilhelmina Wholey. She was a graduate of Redemptorist High School. She was an avid card player and enjoyed Canasta and Tripoli the most. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her son, Kevin; brothers, Ed and Andy Wholey; sister, Mary Dieffenbach; and sister-in-law, Pat Smith. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Bob; children, Bobby, Cindy (Jim) Collier, Phyllis (Bob) Ryan, Craig (Amy); and grandchildren, Brent, Katlyn, Brad, Emily, Anthony, Andrew, Kyle and Lindsay; her brothers, Jimmy and Richard (Barbara) Wholey; sisters, Wilma Walker, Joann Palermo, Martha (Leonard) Swartz, Barbara Frame and Vonie Coffey; brother-in-law, Butch (Mary Ellen) Niehaus; and sister-in-law, Mary Kay Fierst.
