Scott James Peters, age 37, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by those that loved him, in Weston, Missouri after a long fight with cancer.
Scott was born in Great Bend, Kansas the oldest son of Allan & Jackie Peters.
He graduated with degrees from the University of Kansas, majoring in History, Mathematics and English. Scott had been joyfully married to Allison (DeCesare) for almost 8 years.
Scott loved His God, people, history, games with childhood friends, his Pearson Hall brothers, deep and hearty discussions about anything, and his two kittens.
Scott was a magnet for authentic friendships. He was fiercely loyal. He was strong and gentle. He was an absolute warrior as he fought cancer for 7+ years. He has now laid down his sword and entered into an Everlasting Rest with Jesus. As his life has been celebrated we realize just how much he loved us and blessed us.
