Sarah Jane "Sally" Stanley

Sarah was born July 18, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri to Seaborn and Nellie (Thrasher) Cunningham. She graduated from Northeast High School in 1944 and then attended Kansas City Junior College. Sarah Jane married Conrad Ernest Stanley in 1947. They were married for 64 years before his death in 2011.

Sally and Con owned and operated two successful cabinetry businesses, Stanley Store Fixtures, Inc., and Stanley Innerworks, Inc. for over 30 years. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, and an excellent homemaker who enjoyed hosting her friends and family at social events and holiday functions both at home and at their weekend house at Lake Lotawana.

Sarah will be remembered for her patience, honesty, sincerity and her common sense approach to life. She was a generous soul who always had an ear to lend, gave excellent advice, and put everyone else’s needs before her own. She was a memorable person with a quick wit and a great sense of humor. We love you, Mom!

Sarah Jane is survived by her three daughters, Diane Dahlstedt (Ralph), Nancy Stanley, and Carol Meads (Mark), her grandchildren Natalie and Erik Jones and Matthew and Allison Meads, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 1 at 11:00 am at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Spofford Home, 9700 Grandview Road, P.O. Box 9888, Kansas City, Missouri, 64134.
