Sandra G. Provence, 74, of Independence, MO passed away on July 11, 2012. Visitation will be held at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel from 4-6pm on Sunday, July 15th with rosary at 6pm. Prayer service 10am on Monday at the chapel followed by graveside service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Sandra was born on May 3, 1938 in Kansas City, KS. She retired as a broker from Cartwright Van Lines. Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, Elven R. Provence, Jr.; her parents, William Couzens, Sr. & Ruth McMahon; her brothers, William Couzens, Jr. & Jon David Couzens, Sr. and a sister-in-law, Nancy Couzens. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Hunt (Jim) of Oskaloosa, KS, Patty Wood (Mark) of Indep., MO & Nancy Provence of KCMO; her brothers, Clarence, Larry (Barbara), Norman (Sharon) & Danny (Marilyn) Couzens; a sister-in-law, Angela Couzens; grandchildren, Sarah Millsap, Trisha Boyd, Lindsey Burch, Tommy Rosecrans, Steven Hunt & Taylor Rosecrans; 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces & nephews.
