It was our privilege to spend a few minutes with Sandy a day or two before she passed and also to conduct a short graveside service for her.  It was the last thing I could do for Sandy.  (Thanks Robbie for the picture)  I didn't know you were taking it.  There are so many memories from Chipman Rd. and Eastside.  For many years Sandy did our income taxes.  We look forward to seeing her on the other side where there will be no more tears.

Alison and I are members of the Blue River Church of Christ and heard the sad news of Sandy's passing from dear church friends, Lee and Randy Smith.  I understand Randy conducted the graveside service.  Please know that our prayers are with the entire Moore clan at this difficult time.  May God comfort you and give you peace.  Blessings.

Sandy had a heart of gold.  She welcomed me to area with open arms.  She was like a mother to me.  She taught me how to crochet and cake decorating.  I will cherish those memories forever and pass down the knowledge she gave me.  Sending my love, thoughts and prayers to the family.  Sandy will truly be missed.

Grandma kept things light with Andrew and I during our last conversations, but made sure to tell Brian to take care of us in the upcoming weeks.  He is doing a great job fulfilling her wishes.  It is so difficult every day having a little boy asking to call his great grandma and not understanding why he can't.  I am just glad he knows how much she loved him, just like she loved me.   I have too many memories and am struggling to put them into words while I am still trying to process that she is really gone. I feel very lucky to have had someone like her in my life.   She was loved by and will be missed by many.

So many years, Our friendship has lasted a lifetime of laughter and Love. Remember so well the look on face of you and Jerry.  You told us you were pregnant, had been several year since last one. Some of my fond memories with Mom:

- Hearing the story of how Mom threw a cigar at Dad as he walked in the door after finding out she was pregnant with me.
- Mom scampering around the Ranson house in a half panic yelling my name as I hid from her in the kitchen cabinets.
- Mom rubbing my sore muscles when I went through growing pains.
- Mom coming nose-to-nose with a rattlesnake that was curled under her lawnchair while on vacation.
- Sitting with Mom and Dad in Blue Ridge East Cinema and us all ducking in the first scene of Star Wars as the ships flew past.
- Hiding from Mom in the dress racks while she shopped.
- Seeing wrinkles form on her brow when she scolded me.  ( Maybe not my fondest memories! LOL )
- Bringing Mom a cold Tab to her desk from the soda machine at Custom Carpet.
- Mom scouring Taco with tomato soup after he was sprayed by a skunk.
- Mom stroking my hair while my head was in her lap on the car ride back from Rantoul.
- Mom singing "Jesus Loves Me" with me after church.
- Mom not recognizing me at the family visitation after graduating bootcamp.
- Pushing Mom down the aisle at my wedding with the "Mother of the Groom" sign on the back of her wheelchair.

I have so many more fond memories that I could write for hours.  How can we have so many memories when life is so short?

Sandy you were such a good friend for so many years.  You and Jerry and the kids just feel like family.. you will be missed so much but always in my heart.  You were a great mom.  That is so evident when I read through these memories.  Go rest high on that mountain.  No more pain- No more sorrow. (Give Js a hug for me)

My visits with Aunt Sandy have been few and too far in between, but how I loved our conversations and time together. Her feisty and witty personality always kept me laughing and will be dearly missed .  Aunt Sandy’s love for family and life was dauntless. Memories will comfort us until we can meet again.

Grandma,

I never imagined that when we were together last month would be the last time that I got to see you. Somehow I can’t seem to find the right words to thank you for everything you have always done for me throughout my life. 

Knowing that we will be together again brings me peace. I love you with all my heart and I treasure all of the memories that we made together.

There are so many things to say, but how can I possibly begin to share them?

Mom, you were my bedrock and I am going to miss you so terribly.  There aren't enough words to describe what I am feeling.  My heart aches knowing that I'll never be able to talk to you or see you again.  It revels when I think about you being able to be with Grammy, Grandpa, GayLynn, and Darrell, in a painless eternity.  It is humbled when I know you are now in His care and ultimate love.

Mom, you know my heart and shared my memories.  Please be patient as I finish my Earthly journey, until I can once again hold you in my arms.  Until then, I will always hold you in my heart and never let you go.

Grandma,
The lessons that you taught me were limitless. Amara and I grew up toddling around after you at the carpet shop. You never missed a squeaky violin “concert” or an opportunity to take us back to school shopping. You have always treated me and Amara like your own kids, for which I am forever grateful. You and Papaw were there for me throughout my divorce and have been there every step of the way since then. You were there for me and for Truman and Kennedy when we had no other family. You were a rock when nothing else in life was stable. You never sugar coated anything when it came to our conversations, for which I am grateful and I emulate. Thank you for loving me and my children when nobody else did. This life will never be the same without you. We love and miss you but know that you are now pain free and we will be reunited some day. Until then I hope to make you proud.

Mom Moore, 
I have such great memories. We always had wonderful conversation and I will always treasure them. You always had a great sense of humor. And loved to visit with you. I’m glad you are in God’s hands and that you are not in pain anymore. I know you will be watching over your family and will be waiting for them on the other side. I will keep you in my heart and will keep your family in my prayers.  Love you. 

Grandma you were so special to me and we shared an amazing bond that I will hold onto forever! You were like a 2nd mother to me and I am so incredibly thankful for that. I'm so blessed that you were a part of mine and my families life. You will be missed by so many but you are now pain free 💜 I love you so very much!!! 

My mother was everything to me. She was the strongest woman I ever knew and made me the person I am today. Mom I will forever be grateful for ever thing you did for me. I was so graced to be your son. I will miss you but you will never ever leave my heart and thoughts. I know you will always be there watching over me and my family.
