Your delightfully sweet smile, your soft spoken demeanor, your support and concern - how blessed I was that you always shared that with me whenever we talked. I will hold that memory dear to my heart. It’s so very much appreciated. There’s a whole lot of years between our families. We go a long way back. I will always remember you fondly, Sandy, and miss you deeply. Rest in heavenly peace Lady.

Me: Hello...
Grandma: Heellooo? Heelloo... CeCe?
Me: Yes grandma, it’s me. 
Grandma: Aw baby I thought you was Spencer. Y’all all sound just a like (laughter) 

Another one ....

Grandma: You know who you look like ? 
Me: who I look like grandma ?
Grandma: That girl (she goes on to name a random girl I’ve never met before in my life, while rubbing my hands  lol)  
Me: I do? Lol
Grandma: Don’t she Monique (my mom)?  She does don’t she? 
Momma: No she does not mama lol 

Grandma was the brightest star in the sky. Always smiling even when I knew she was in pain. I’m so mad at myself for not taking more pictures.. calling her more.. checking in on her more .. but I know she knows I love her and will always miss her. This is the first time I’ve cried since her passing and will be the last. Instead I will thank God he let us borrow her for as long as he did and celebrate her because I know she is now happier than ever! I love you Grandma ! ❤️

Ms. Sandy, you were my mom’s friend Diane Lacy, as a little girl I spent the night and time with your daughters when you guys lived on Indiana. I remember you and your beautiful daughters. May you Rest In Peace! 

I remember first meeting you and thinking that you were the most beautiful black lady I have ever met. You’ve raised some beautiful daughters along with some great grandkids and I will never forget how kind and loving you are rest well Ms Sandy. 

I remember you being almost as perfect as a human can be. Thank you for inviting me into your home when I moved to Kansas City. You are truly a rare woman. Your Job is complete here. Now you can be the angel that you are. 

You're so amazing! Your smile could light the world! Your soul was so pure and I thank God you were a part of my childhood. You will truly be missed and I know for certain you are with the angels! May you ready in peace and watch over all of us down here.
