My dear friend Sammy, I only recently found out about your passing and I was deeply saddened. I'm so sorry we lost touch over the years. I always enjoyed visiting with you at the restaurant and the years after when we would run into each other in various places. Godspeed Sammy and until we meet again may you have eternal rest.

I am glad I got to be your friend.  Every time I went to the House of Toy I would laugh at something you would say.  You were a character!  To this day my friends and I miss having the House of Toy restaurant to visit and dine.  Your Friend,

I am so sorry about Sammy’s passing. He was a wonderful man. Always willing to visit over the fence and he was so kind to Denver. Denver loved seeing him every day for year scratches, dog bones, and a game of ball. I enjoyed learning more about Sammy’s life growing up in Hyde Park and working at the House of Toy.  I have missed seeing him outside this past several months. I am thinking about you all regularly.

We deeply feel your pain and sadness for the loss of Sammy.  He was a good husband and a good father. He has been making every effort to take care of the family for so many years.  He always gives the best to the family. 

While in memory of Sammy, we will keep praying for you. we believe GOD’s amazing grace will be onto you during this difficult time. GOD will protect you and your lovely sons Simon and Sherman. HE will heal you in your sorrows and help you to move on. You shall not feel lonely since God will always be with you.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Uncle Sammy. I cannot imagine how you must feel.   Although I only met him once in Hong Kong when I was young,  I got a strong impression that Uncle Sammy was a very kind man with good patience and loved to play with children. I also heard from Mom that Uncle Sammy has been spending a lot of time with the family and taking good care of the family. 

Hope our almighty GOD will comfort you in HIS way and lead you through this hard time.

In the quiet corners of our hearts, we gather to honor the memory of our beloved brother-in-law Sammi Choy. Today, as we bid farewell to a cherished member of our family,  we are enveloped in a bittersweet embrace of sorrow and gratitude. 

Sammi was more than just a member of our family. His presence illuminated our lives with warmth and love, his gentle spirit leaving an indelible mark on each of us.

Sammy was an inspiration to me...he appeared to live somewhat carefree and without worry.   He was always quite pleasant to speak with.   Sammy would see me mowing the yard or heading out to work, and he consistently told me that I work to hard and too much.,. slow down!!   Some advice that I am beginning to understand...we could all use that advice.   Sammy was a good friend and neighbor.  I will certainly miss him.

It was so great to meet you all in-person again several years ago and to have Uncle Sam, along with Auntie Agnes, show us (Mum, Dad, and Alison) around town. Dear Agnes, Simon and Sherman, we are so sad to hear about Sam's passing.  Although we live so far away and had only a few opportunities to visit Kansas city, Sam's caring nature had deeply impressed us.  His love for the family, particularly 
for Agnes and two sons whom Sam was so proud of, was amazing.  

We will miss Sam sorely and may the Lord comfort Agnes, Simon and Sherman.  Take care.
