S. Michael McGinnis

S. Michael McGinnis, 57, Leawood, Kansas passed away on February 3rd. Michael was born April 30, 1955 in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Rockhurst High School in 1973 and attended University of Missouri Kansas City and Avila College.

A Memorial Mass to celebrate Michael’s life will be held on February 7, 2013 at 11a.m. at the Church of the Nativity in Leawood, Kansas.

Michael was an avid golfer, and took pride in the accomplishment of having hit five hole-in-ones. Michael enjoyed cooking for friends and family and was a gracious host to many. Michael is survived by his spouse, Laura Cameron McGinnis, children, Michael and Parker, parents, Phil and Carol (McGinnis) Montague, sister, Cheryl (Steve) Vocelka, and in-laws, Ken and Edna Cameron and family.
