Ryan Dale Owenby

Ryan Dale Owenby, 33, of Overland Park, KS passed away May 9th, 2018 at KU Medical Center. Ryan was born February 28th, 1985 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was married to Amanda Owenby and they had two daughters together. He worked at UMB Bank for the past 8 years. Ryan was passionate about baseball and played travel ball as a kid, and continued playing baseball in high school (O'Hara Celtics) and college (Rockhurst University). He was an avid follower of the Chiefs, Royals and Jayhawks and if you ever had a sports question...just ask Ryan, because he knew them all. He was a family man and we will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by Grandfather Russell Owenby, Uncle Billy Moffat, Grandparents Lindsay and Joan Mittler.

Survivors include wife Amanda Owenby, two beautiful daughters Claire (2 years old) and Cate (2 months old), parents Dennis and Carol Owenby, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00-1:00, May 21st, at the Founder's Club at Arrowhead Stadium. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Ryan Owenby Memorial Fund, c/o UMB Bank, (Attn: Chad Clement), 7109 W. 80th Street, Overland Park, KS 66204.
