Rose Marie (Fotovich) Clifford passed into eternal life at 8:38 AM Wednesday, September 7, 2022. Rose Marie was born on October 23, 1935 in Kansas City, Kansas to Mary and Steve Fotovich. Rose Marie was a proud Ward High School graduate and attended Donnelly College for 2 years prior to getting married.
Rose Marie married Patrick Clifford on May 31, 1958 and made their home in Kansas City. They proceeded to have 4 children over the next 3 ½ years. Rose Marie worked a variety of medically related positions over the next 40 years, retiring from being an office manager in a Dermatology office.
Rose Marie was a loving, compassionate and dedicated daughter, wife, mother, grandmother (Mams) and great grandmother. She was a force to be reckoned with when it came to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended many sporting events as well as dance recitals for her children and grandchildren. She would go anywhere and do anything for her family.
Rose Marie loved to bake, shop, golf, work crossword puzzles, paint, do arts and crafts, play bridge and hang out with her friends and help others. She could have been a champion crossword puzzler even after she began to experience symptoms of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Rose Marie and Pat volunteered at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for many years to honor the work they do and in loving memory of their daughter Mary Pat. Rose Marie and Pat traveled frequently for enjoyment as well as to visit Therese and Kelly and their families in Dallas and San Antonio, respectively.
Rose Marie was preceded in death by Patrick Clifford, her loving husband of nearly 63 years, her daughter Mary Pat Clifford as well as her parents, Steve and Mary Fotovich. She is survived by her children, Therese Dean, Stephen Clifford (Shannon), Kelly Hoog (David), grandchildren Gregory Dean (Tabitha), Michael Dean (MK), Alexandra Dreher (Josh), Mitchell Clifford (Kelly), Jessica Corkins (Sam), Jack Clifford, James Clifford, Harrison Hoog, Jillian Hoog, Katherine Hoog and 6 great grandchildren, Kinley Dean, Liam Dean, Jameson Dreher, Addison Dreher, Olivia Corkins and William Corkins.
