Rosa was born on August 30, 1924 in Kansas City, MO, the second of seven children born to Richard (Sr.) and Margarita Estevez. She was a cherished mother, who along with her husband of 44 years, Lupe G. Espinosa, raised six loving children: Lawrence G. Espinosa, Diana R. (Larry) Brassfield, Michael L. (Rena) Espinosa, Charles P. (Sallie) Espinosa, Rita E. (Bradley) Barrett, and Rosa E. Estevez.

She had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. Her interests included reading, sewing, traveling; especially to Colorado with her family, and all types of music, from Mariachi to Classic Rock. Rosa was a loyal Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan. She was also an excellent cook and was known to have a green thumb. Rosa loved people watching and had never met a stranger. She was a second mother to many, and her greatest pride and joy was spending time with family and friends.
Greeting her in Heaven are her parents, her husband, and brothers, Alex and Rudy Estevez. Rosa is survived by her children, her siblings: Richard Estevez, Hellen Barnes, David (Goldie) Estevez, Armand (Helen) Estevez and Charles (Socorro) Estevez as well as her 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
