Ronald M. Davis, devoted husband and father, age 76, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away January 28, 2018.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm followed by funeral services at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Interment will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
Ronald was born February 4th, 1941 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of William Davis and Susie Davis. Ronald graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959. He served in the United States Navy and Marines as a medic. Ronald was an electrician, he worked for KCP&L, Capital Electric and later ATA Metro Bus Service.
Ronald was a devoted husband to Janice Davis for 45 years before her passing in 2009 and born to this union were his lovely daughters Rhonda & Rocelyn, whom he loved dearly.
Ronald was considered a father figure to many of the kids growing up in the neighborhood who he thought of like sons. Ronald never met a stranger and was always willing to help someone. He had a passion for music and the newest electronics. Ronald was a member of Town Fork Creek Neighborhood Association. He enjoyed being around friends and family.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife Janice, his parents, brothers Maurice Davis and Michael Davis, nephews Tracy Davis, Marcellous Davis and Ryan Brooks and sister-in-law Anna Johnson.
Ronald leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters Rhonda D. Smith (son-in-law Ronald G. Smith) and Rocelyn Y. Davis, his brothers Richard Davis (Pat) and Steven Davis, sister Rosalind Davis, nephews Richard Davis, Jr. (Brenda), Andre Davis (Jill), Gary Riley, Quincy Davis (Sheri), Troy Acklin, Robert Brooks (Rosalon), James Brooks, Jr., Justin Brooks (Keisha), Jordan Brooks, nieces Barbara Riley, Nicole Davis, Linda Reese, Dee Armstrong (Don), Lisa Acklin, Robin Johnson (Eric), Angela Williams (Kirk), Bridgot Landa, LaTonya Solorio (Mike) , brothers-in-law James Brooks and Godfrey Davis, Jr., sisters-in-law Betty Davis, Evelyn Davis, Betty Brooks and Marie Tolliver. Long-time best friend Gerald Buckman and a host of many friends and the Lincoln Class of 1959.
Ronald will be truly missed.
