He was born on July 16th 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Judith (Carter) Cox-Tharp and Joe Adams Cox.
Ron graduated from Hickman Mills High School, Class of 1978. Ron laid carpet for many years and then went to work for the family business – KC Auto Detail Shop and B & J Auto Mart. On October 27, 1979, Ron married the love of his life, Glenna (Henry) Cox. Ron loved to go to Mound City, Missouri to hunt and spend time with his buddies, take his family to the Lake of the Ozarks and scratch lotto tickets. Ron loved his family and always helped out when you needed something. Ron will be missed so very much.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his love, Glenna (Henry) Cox, his daughters Gina Sky (Brett) Burnstein, Johnna (Johnathan) Huke, Anna (Neal) Moody, and son Joseph (Taylor) Cox, his grandchildren, Alena (Cox) McClary, Jayce Huke, Braeden Burnstein, Jayden Huke, Maya Burnstein, Gavin & Sloane Moody, Lillian Burnstein, Beckett Cox, great-grandchildren, Hudson McClary, Warren McClary (on the way) and siblings Cyndi (Randy) Shults, Nancie (Rick) Gilbreath, and David (Gale) Cox.
A Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am followed by an 11:00am Memorial Service on Monday, March 9 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
