Receiving this reminder this morning was a bit startling.  I was instantly transported back in time to a beautiful place where I got to know the essence of this man, although we never met. I met with Dr Chris regularly in her exquisitely elegant, yet invitingly comfortable office. Each time it seemed there was something new and precious and when asked, she smiled and glowed and said that her husband had made it for her, or that it was something that he had seen that he knew she would like and he got it for her. Everything complemented and completed everything else, and I could tell that it was the same for Dr Chris and the Admiral. I miss spending time in that room with Dr Chris, getting a glimpse into a love story I can barely imagine, and happily soaking up as much of that love that she so abundantly had to share with those of us who spent time with her.  Dr Chris, my heart is with you always!

Not a day goes by that I don't think of Bob..............I miss him greatly.

Hired me to cut your grass because you needed "me" cant say no to a man that can damn near talk you into anything. I digress, tragically missed I was mistaken, I needed 'Him' . As I cut the grass, he got into the weeds for me against the County and my Dad and I were able to save our farm. I miss Bob every day............................can't say anything more than that.

Although I never met The Admiral in person, I know a lot about him. His essence was eloquently shared by his wife, Dr. Chris during my times spent with her. Whenever I would notice some beautiful thing in her office and comment on it, she always said that her husband made it for her, surprised her with it, bought it for her.  And she would start speaking of him and the glow of love and happiness that came up didn't just stop at her eyes - the whole room would light up. It was really something to behold.
Dr Chris, I'm holding you tight in my heart. 

We have lost the best OSHA fighter there ever was. But more than that we have lost a truly great American and a very special friend. Bob helped so many in his life that words cannot express the loss.
I think you  will make heaven a more pleasureful place and I look forward to seeing you again.
           THANK YOU BOB YOU WILL ALWAYS BE WITH US. 

Bob, You were a great friend. I miss the time we spent together and the support you gave me when times were bad and your wonderful stories. Though I moved far away many years ago you were always on my mind. I was blessed to have known you, shoot with you and share good beverages. Rest in peace my friend.

Julien and I want you to know that you will always be thought of, missed and our love and appreciation for you..goes deep. You made a strong impact on a very young immature (injured) man..and you made him think. Made him pick himself up and dust himself off and go forward.  He loved you a lot Bob.   Me, well, I will forever remember your stories and how while you talked, it was intense  and the Faith Hope and Belief as well as love , well you have for my young injured Son was impactful.  I will miss your smiling face and how emotional you would be when talking of times be they happy or sad. I will forever be indebted to you for allowing me to have the privilege of staying at yours and Chris's home.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I will continue to be there and support Chris , WHOLEHEARTEDLY.  Rest in Peace Bob a.k.a- the Duck

I was never in the Navy, but Bob always treated me like I was an Admiral.  I was never a great shooter or Instructor, but Bob always made me feel like I was the best there is.  I never lived near Kansas City, but Bob always made me feel like we lived next door.  I was not family, but Bob always made me feel like he and I were brothers.   Bob, when you get to heaven, take care of my family as I know only you can do.  We will laugh again in the future brother.  I miss you..................

My protector, my teacher, my mentor, my best friend, and my Father. You are all that I ever hope to be. I will see you again someday old man. I love you so much more than words could ever possibly describe. I owe my life to you, and for you, I am going to live it.
