Upon Paseo graduation, he started a career, with his father, as a building property manager. For many of his happiest years, he was a driver. He loved the children on his Olathe route. He took great pride in decorating his school bus for many holidays. With Laidlaw, he knew almost all his regular customers by name. For the last 14 years he drove for The Forum Retirement Community, Overland Park. He loved these folks, and many adored him in return.
Though a quiet, shy guy, he loved to dance, from ballroom to many years of square dancing. He was also a walker, collecting miles for designated walks. Traveling was a favorite journey. He accumulated many miles around the globe, often with his now deceased sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Dr. Andrew Martimick. He further travelled while serving in the Navy Reserves for 30 plus years.
Bob was quite happy with a perfectly ironed shirt and a good martini.
While predeceased by his mother and father, George and Laura Cooper, he will be greatly missed by his niece, Susie Webb and lifelong family friends, Celia Huneycutt, Paula (Dwight) Hight and so many others who loved him.
Bob was a kind and thoughtful person, always smiling to uplift everyone.
God bless his beautiful soul.
Due to the world virus, there will be no service.
