Robert E. Brown, 84, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away February 19, 2013. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to KU Medical Center and/or Grace Hospice. Mr. Brown was born February 3, 1929 in Wyoming, son of Eugene and Ruth Brown. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a bus driver. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife Zelma (Cox) Brown in 1996. He is survived by his children Robert Brown, Linda Wayman and husband Rick, Judy Duxbury and husband Steve, Vernon Brown and wife Brenda, Shirley Guyer and husband Stephen, and Steve Brown; brothers Jerry Brown and Richard Brown; sisters Carol Williams and Beverly Gonzales; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
