I will always remember my first visit to Kansas City in 1978. Rita made me feel welcome and was very interested in learning about my background and interests. Later, I recall making a wonderful brief trip to Mexico with Rita and her daughter Donna. I recall her energy and enthusiasm during the trip. Over the years I have been so thankful to have the special friendship of Donna. It is with sadness that I acknowledge Rita' passing and know that she will be missed by many.
